We are members of the Labour Party and/or its affiliates, and we urge the forthcoming party conference to vote to refer back the National Policy Forum report to insist that it include effective, socialist policies for rights and equality for neurodivergent people.

We understand that Neurodivergent Labour submitted a summary of its comprehensive and widely-acclaimed Autism and Neurodiversity Manifesto to the Policy Forum. We are alarmed that despite this, the report contains no mention of neurodiversity.

While dyslexic, dyspraxic, dyscalculic and otherwise neurodivergent people experience widespread discrimination, while the justice system penalises people with ADHD, autistic and other atypical people, Labour is missing an opportunity to offer signficant benefits to people who are currently marginalised, discriminated against and under-served.

- ND Labour submitted a summary of its manifesto to the Work, Pensions and Equality section or the Policy Forum. It received extensive support, and was the second most popular submission in its section.

- Despite this, it was not even mentioned in the Policy Forum's interim report. So ND Labour raised the issue again, as did Disability Labour. As the issue is still not even mentioned, delegates will be moving reference back of that section of the report.
