2018 Spring Conference & Technology Expo

The Long Beach chapter of RSES and CARSES, and the El Camino College HVACR program are proud to present the 2018 CARSES Spring Conference and Technology Expo!

Session 1 - Field replacement of blower wheels and fan blades for technicians. If you have ever had a supply house suggest a replacement blade that is not an exact match, installed it, and found the motor pulling too many amps or not moving the correct air volume? You won't allow that to happen after this session!

Session 2 - Dawson Company will discuss field maintenance for pumps, including pump seals and accessory items related to pumping water. They will also break down a B&G 1510 pump and discuss the various components.

The provided lunch includes a technology expo.

Session 3 - NCI (National Comfort Institute) presents a lecture on their new and free app made to allow a technician to test a system, record the data within the app and determine just how efficiency the system is performing and expose opportunities to correct where the system has deficiencies. Also discussed will be interpreting manufacturers literature for fan airflows, etc., useful test instruments, and how to communicate to customers about system performance.

Session 4 - NCI will again be the speaker, this time discussing hydronic system measurement and diagnostics where you will learn how to measure flow and determine deficiencies in systems, performance, and how to measure pump pressures, GPM, and flow through balancing stations/circuit setters.

NOTE: ALL EXAMS ARE GIVEN ON FRIDAY, APRIL 13TH AT 6:00pm OR SATURDAY, APRIL 14TH AT 5:40pm IN THE CAT BUILDING.

Breakfast, snacks and a full lunch will be provided.

A certificate for 8 continuing education hours (CEH's) for each attendee.
